VCvF.legal expands its Litigation practice: Dr. Waldemar Rembold joins from ARQIS – focus on Commercial Litigation and Post-M&A Disputes
As of May 2026, Dr. Waldemar Rembold has joined the team at VCvF.legal. As an experienced litigator and attorney, he brings extensive expertise in the judicial and extrajudicial enforcement and defense of claims – with a particular focus on commercial litigation, post-M&A disputes, and insurance law (W&I/D&O/product liability).
He advises and represents clients in court and arbitration proceedings (DIS/ICC) as well as in mediation and expert determination proceedings. He also supports clients in the areas of plant and mechanical engineering, real estate litigation, and product liability. Beyond contentious matters, he assists with contract drafting – ranging from procurement, distribution, supply, and framework agreements to LOIs, MOUs, and general terms and conditions. His clients include large and mid-sized companies across the automotive, insurance, mechanical and plant engineering, real estate development, healthcare, and private equity sectors.
Prior to joining, he spent approximately nine years at the commercial law firm ARQIS. His academic background is as formative as his practical experience: prior to working as a lawyer, he served as a judge at the Local and Regional Courts in Duisburg – a perspective that continues to sharpen his work as an attorney to this day. In 2021, he completed his doctorate at the University of Osnabrück. Since 2011, he has also been active as a lecturer and tutor at the Hemmer Law Review Course.
"What sets VCvF.legal apart is the combination of experience, breadth, and depth that this team brings to commercial law. I very much value contributing my perspective here for our clients – shaped by years on both sides of the courtroom," says Dr. Waldemar Rembold.
"With Waldemar Rembold, we gain a colleague who brings together judicial experience, academic depth, and years of law firm practice. His expertise in contentious commercial law is a genuine asset for our clients," says Antonio Calderón, Partner at VCvF.legal.
